About Us

AGEARTH Colombia, the Association of Colombian Graduates of EARTH University of Costa Rica, is committed to the development of rural communities in Colombia and Latin America.

We work tirelessly to strengthen the bond between graduates of our alma mater in Colombia and in other countries, in order to contribute to the progress of rural communities in the region, thus ensuring a sustainable future for agri-food chains.

What is the Seedbed Program?

The Seedbed is a program that trains and supports rural youth to integrate into sustainable agri-food chains.

What is the local impact?

We empower young people with skills to integrate into the workforce and create a sustainable and innovative future in their communities' agri-food chains.

Should the program apply to all groups or can it be applied to just one?

The implementation can be carried out with groups A, B, and C in parallel, or, depending on the partner's interest, focus on a specific group. Each group has methodologies adapted to its age, context, and learning objectives.

Who are our allies?

We work hand in hand with national and international organizations (public and private), foundations, academia, and companies in the agri-food sector to strengthen the program and its initiatives.

Young people are identified through strategic partnerships with local organizations. They must be active members of their community and have a direct or indirect connection to the agri-food chain.
